2024 SCHEDULE

The 2024 season starts on Aprl 23. New information coming soon!

The following information pertains to the 2023 season, but it may provide a useful context.

BCGECSS WIND-UP EVENT

Here is the schedule for our July 29th wind-up event at Juan de Fuca fields:

2023 Wind-up Schedule: PDF

2023 Wind-up Schedule: Excel

14 teams are playing, and we hope that some members of the other four teams will join teams that may be short of players. The four teams not playing are Greens United, Resuscitators, Attorney General and Health MSP.

There will be an annual general meeting at noon, and at least an hour lunch break. We'll have a beer garden, and we're working on a food truck. The AGM agenda and meeting materials will be circulated soon.

Each team will play three games of 60 minutes, 7 aside. The usual co-ed rules will apply: a keeper and at least three women outfield players. There will be 25-minute break between games, and some teams will have a one-game break. Everyone will have a 2.5 hour break for the AGM and lunch.

Please let Hu Wallis (VP) know if you have any questions.

MASTER SCHEDULE: REVISED MAY 15

The Master Schedule is available in PDF, CSV, and Excel format.

SCHEDULE CHANGES: MAY 25 TO JUNE 27

The league recently gained access to Finlayson turf for two 8:15 pm games per week from May 25 to June 27. (The earliest access to Finlayson was previously July 6.) Eleven games have now been moved to Finlayson.

These changes are highlighted in green in the PDF and Excel versions of the revised Master Schedule. Previous changes affecting June 27 to July 27 (see below) remain in the schedule, and are highlighted in yellow.

The Master Schedule reflects the changes and so do each of the individual team calendars. Please carefully review the changes that affect your team.

SCHEDULE CHANGES: JUNE 27 TO JULY 27

The league schedule has been revised to move 10 games to Braefoot from UVic between June 27 and July 27. The correct schedule has been posted since April 17, and is now posted again, after sorting out a few issues. If you are using the early April version (before April 17), you will need to review the last five games for changes.

Although we are only substituting Braefoot for five weeks, one of the quirks of our new scheduling software is that it wants to balance team preferences and field access (which is a good thing!). As a result, some other games have also been moved. Please check those five weeks carefully.

The individual team schedules below have also been updated.

INDIVIDUAL TEAM SCHEDULES

Each team's individual schedule is available as a calendar that can be loaded into any calendar app such as Google Calendar, iCalendar, etc.

Note: If you have already added the old version of your team's schedule to your calendar app, make sure to delete it before adding the new one. Don't click on the download link for your team's calendar until you have done so.

Note: The home team is always written first (and the away team second) in the calendar's event names — e.g., HomeTeam vs AwayTeam.
