To encourage players of all levels of ability to play soccer in a relaxed, friendly environment.
WHO WE ARE
The BC Government Employees Co-ed Soccer Society (BCGECSS) is a co-ed recreational soccer league for the enjoyment of all government workers.
To foster the feeling of fun, no standings or scoring records are kept. Instead, after each game, the opposing teams vote for the female and male player who best combine sportsmanship and skill.
The season starts at the end of April and runs until our tournament in August. Weekly games are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Kickoff is at 6:30 pm.
At the end of the season a trophy is awarded to the Friendliest Team. Gift certificates are given to the Classiest Players of the League players, (10 men and 10 women) who won the individual voting.
If you would like more information about the league, please browse the website, or contact one of the league officers.

BCGECSS AGM: AUGUST 8, 2020
The BCGESS AGM is confirmed for 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 8th at the Juan de Fuca gazebo (located just beyond the soccer fields, on the right). We may be outside if the weather is fair.
We are limited to a COVID-19 gathering size of 50, so we are aiming for two representatives per team, plus five from executive (=45). Please bring your own portable chair. The meeting is expected to run an hour or less, so there should be some social time until our booking ends at 4:00 pm.
Please RSVP with the names of your reps by Tuesday, August 4.
Please share the following documents with your team representatives:
On behalf of the Executive, we look forward to seeing you! — Hu Wallis, Vice President
Brent Mueller, President
Hu Wallis, Vice President
Erin Booth, Treasurer
James Chaney, Secretary
Michael Bradley, Past President
Al Moir, Head Referee

CANCELLATION OF 2020 SEASON
Cancellation of 2020 Season
The BCGECSS Executive is reluctantly canceling the 2020 season, due to COVID-19. We held off doing so as long as it was possible that modified soccer might be allowed by July. However, we are told that BC Soccer's Phase 1 (which allows skills and drills) will continue at least through August. Small-sided games may be allowed starting in the fall.
We very much regret this decision, and hope that we will be back in April 2021 for a full season of friendly competition. Managers, please advise your players.
